Sony PMW-F55
The Sony PMW-F55 CineAlta 4K Digital Cinema Camera features a Super 35mm 4K CMOS image sensor in a compact, ergonomic body capable of recording a variety of 4K, 2K or HD video formats onto SxS Pro+ memory cards in-camera.
The F55 incorporates a newly developed frame image scan technology that eliminates well known CMOS rolling shutter artifacts, making it the ideal camera for action driven cinematography and filming flashlights, since this camera says goodbye to the “jello effect” and “flash banding”.
RAW via AXS-R5 Recorder
With our optional latch-on AXS-R5 recorder you can record 16-bit 4K RAW up to 60fps, and 2K RAW up to 240fps onto 512GB AXS Memory Cards, which makes the Sony PMW-F55 an incredibly versatile modular camera system.

Sony SxS Pro+ Cards
The Sony PMW-F55 features a build (dual) SxS recorder that accepts Sony 64GB & 128GB SxS Pro+ cards.
Sony AXSM Cards
Attach the AXS-R5 recorder on back of the camera to record 16 bit 2K/4K RAW on to 512GB AXSM (Access Memory System) cards.
Data Management
AXSM Memory Cards can be read by the AXS-CR1 (USB3.0) reader with transfer speeds up to 2Gb/s (250MB/s) via a computer.
SxS Pro+ cards can be read by laptops with an Expresscard /34 slot, or via a Sony SBAC-US20 (USB3.0) reader.
For copying your valuable recorded material we always recommend to use software like YoYottaID or ShotPut Pro that will help copy files to one or several destinations and perform a checksum calculation, comparing the material on the original media to the copies, to provide a minimum effort safety check of data integrity.
