ARRI Alexa XT Plus
Xtended Technology
The ALEXA XT Plus is the first major step in the evolution of the Alexa camera family. Offering a Super 35 sensor with a switchable Open Gate*, 4:3 and 16:9 active sensor mode. The new XR Module (Xtended Recording), co-developed by Codex, makes it possible to record ARRIRAW in-camera onto XR Capture Drives. Through an adapter you’re still able to record ProRes or DNxHD to more economical Sony SxS Pro Media Cards.

XR Capture Drives
Codex XR Capture Drives are reliable high quality 512GB (480GB usable) solid-state media in a small form factor, which are able to record 16:9 ARRIRAW at up to 120fps.
SxS Pro Cards
With the help of an SxS Adapter into the ALEXA XR Module you can still use the now familiar SxS Pro Cards.
Data Management
For transferring recorded material from a XR Capture Drive to external hard drives we offer the Codex Capture Drive Single Dock which you connect via USB3.0 to a Macbook Pro with a native USB3.0 port.
SxS memory cards can be read by laptops with an Expresscard /34 slot, or via a Sony SBAC-US20 (USB3.0) reader.
For copying your valuable recorded material it’s recommended to use software like Hedge for Mac, YoYottaID, Silverstack or ShotPut Pro that will help copy files to one or several destinations and perform a checksum calculation, comparing the material on the original media to the copies, to provide a minimum effort safety check of data integrity.
