ARRI Alexa Mini
Compact Specialist With Renowned Alexa Image Quality
The ARRI Alexa Mini is the most compact and versatile Alexa camera family member. Quiet and feature rich enough to function as light weight main camera. Ideal when you are mainly filming handheld and/or having thight locations. The camera body has been clearly designed with brushless gimbals, multicopters, underwater housings and other specialized rigs in mind. It has an integrated lens motor controller that allows new active lens motors directly connected to the PL Mount. Motorized and remotely-controllable internal ND filters permit rapid responses to changing light conditions, and which also helps to keep clutter around the camera to a minimum.
The Alexa Mini has a 4:3 sensor, and automatic desqueeze modes to support the two-times squeeze anamorphic lens format**. Able to shoot frame rates ranging from 0.75 right up to 200fps****. Records ProRes and uncompressed MXF/ARRIRAW* in-camera to economical CFast 2.0 cards.

CFast 2.0 Cards
The Alexa Mini records ProRes and uncompressed ARRIRAW in-camera to economical CFast 2.0 Cards, which are optimized for ARRI digital cinema cameras.
MXF/ARRIRAW
To make ARRIRAW recording to CFast 2.0 cards in the Alexa Mini possible it was necessary for ARRI to wrap the files in a so called MXF container. This new format is called MXF/ARRIRAW, and is just a wrapper around the well known ARRIRAW files.
Data Management
A Lexar Professional Workflow CR2 CFast 2.0 Thunderbolt / USB 3.0 reader or equivalent USB 3.0 reader is included for transferring recorded material from a CFast 2.0 card via a MacBook Pro to external hard disk drives.
For copying your valuable recorded material it’s recommended to use software like Hedge for Mac, YoYottaID, Silverstack or ShotPut Pro that will help copy files to one or several destinations and perform a checksum calculation, comparing the material on the original media to the copies, to provide a minimum effort safety check of data integrity.
