Aaton Penelope
The Aaton Penelope is a (field) switchable 2-Perf / 3-Perf 35mm camera ideal for low profile and mobile filmmaking. The (only 7,5kg weighing) camera perfectly fits on the shoulder, which repects the Aaton ‘cat on the shoulder’ rule, making it the most ideal handheld / steadicam 35mm film camera.
Plans to film in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio? Maybe you can consider to film in the 2-Perf format, which cuts raw stock consumption and processing costs exactly in half. This brings film origination costs into the same ballpark as digital origination.
